As the newest member of the Benchmark team, Madison brings thousands of hours of high-level government affairs and lobbying experience. A fifth-generation Montanan, she recently returned to the Big Sky State after establishing an accomplished career in Pennsylvania politics and public affairs. Madison spent nearly six years at one of Pennsylvania’s premier contract lobbying firms, where she represented an extensive portfolio of industries, businesses, associations, and local governments in a full-time legislative environment. Serving as a Senior Associate, Madison developed expertise in business and policy strategy across sectors, including tourism, insurance, education, recycling, transportation, procurement, and local government affairs. She also spearheaded the firm’s grant writing and consulting initiatives, consistently helping clients secure an average of $20 million in funding each legislative session.
Most recently, Madison served as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, a 22,000-member organization with a broad and complex legislative agenda. In this role, she advocated for impactful reforms to Pennsylvania laws governing family law, parentage, landlord-tenant issues, wills and estates, trusts, and related legal matters. She also directed the Association’s political action committee, leading successful fundraising initiatives and significantly increasing member engagement in legislative and political advocacy.
Madison graduated magna cum laude with honors in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University, where she published academic research examining federal lobbying disclosure and registration policies. Madison and her husband, Connor, are both proud Billings natives and now call Helena home.
